San Diego Comic Fest (SDCF) is a small convention put together by some of the original founders of San Diego Comic-Con International (SDCC). The intention is to capture the original spirit of the early days of science fiction and comic conventions. This idea is carried thru the convention with the throw back vibe of the exhibit hall merchandise and the annual themed café. Unique to SDCF, The Comic Fest Café each year has a theme taken from the classic era of comics and science fiction. In the past, the Café has been The Twilight Zone and Forrest Ackerman’s Ackermansion. The creativeness of decorations for the theme are not to be missed. Overall, SDCF is an intimate, casual family friendly science fiction and comic book convention.

Spotlight

Continuing the throw back vibe of the early days of comic conventions, the exhibit hall is full of merchandise made pre-1990 like classic Star Trek or the 1966 Adam West Batman TV series as well as movies like “TRON,” “Dune,” and “The Black Hole.”
