A hidden gem of a comic-con. Portland is home to a number of prominent comic book writers, artists, and publishing companies as well as numerous independent creators and small press. This local talent pool provides for a higher number of big name special guests of the comic world than typical of a con this size. The result is good-quality panels and panelists with great discussions between dedicated creators and their fans, and limited lines. The amount of film production in the Portland area also lends to a good number of current film and TV actors in attendance.
